Five people injured in accident

An accident involving two bakkies on the corner of Springs Road and Combrink Street at around 8pm on Monday (May 30) left five people injured.

“All patients were males,” said Sanjay Sukdeo, who was a paramedic on scene.

“Two patients were transported by ER24 to Tambo Memorial Hospital, and the other three were transported by High Care EMS.”

Sukdeo said four of the five patients were moderately injured, but one patient was critical.

“One bakkie had four occupants and the other had one,” he said.

“However, we are still not sure what transpired leading up to the accident.”
