Five Benoni clinics rated ‘ideal’
Benoni bagged the honour of having five of 36 clinics ranked nationwide as ‘‘ideal clinics”, on May 20.
These five clinics are: Daveyton East Clinic, Joy Clinic in Etwatwa West, Mary Moodley Clinic in Actonville, Kempston Avenue Clinic in Kemston Avenue and the Northmead Clinic.
“The ideal clinic grading means that the facilities are hygienic, open on time and close only after the last patient has been attended to,” said EMM spokesperson, Themba Gadebe.
“This also includes efficient staff, administration processes and adequate medicine.”
The announcement followed the news that the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is home to four of the top 10 clinics nationwide.
“We are a very good clinic,” said a representative from Kempston Avenue Clinic, who chose not to be named.
“That is why we are considered an ideal clinic.
“But, we are trying our best to meet the standards set by the government.”
