Schroeter still needs you
Congratulations to Benoni’s home girl, Simone Schroeter, who was chosen as one of the Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs SA 2016 top 25 finalists, on Friday (April 29).
The top 100 semi-finalists went through a busy day of swim wear judging and interviews before the Top 25 were named at Emperors Palace.
However, Schroeter was already in the line-up and she thanked Benoni residents massively for their votes.
“I went through the judging and interview, but I found out at the crowning that I was fortunate to win the People’s Choice award,” she said.
“It is so surreal when you hear your name and all the hard work you have put in over the last few months builds up to that moment.”
The People’s Choice award was given to the contestant who received the most likes on her Mrs SA Facebook page before the judging, guaranteeing her a place in the Top 25.
“I received about 4 600 likes,” Schroeter said.
The final crowning will take place on October 21, at Emperors Palace, and voters once again have an opportunity to vote for Schroeter as the People’s Choice.
However, this award does not guarantee the title Mrs SA.
“I have less than six months until the final crowning so I am grabbing this opportunity with both hands to use this platform to add value to my community,” Schroeter said.
“We also have to host a Cuppa for Cansa, for which I am actively preparing.”
The Cuppa for Cansa must take place by October 1.
“I want to host a fun fair for the whole family and all of this money goes to Cansa,” Schroeter added.
Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs SA aims to highlight the importance of married, beautiful and sophisticated women.
“I would like my fellow Benonians to continue showing their support and following my Facebook page, Simone Schroeter – 2016 Finalist, to keep up to date with my journey,” she said.
Schroeter was one of two Benoni women who were chosen as semi-finalists, but Amanda Ioannoy did not progress to the next stage.
