Mrs SA contestants need support

Our very own two Benoni women are still excited about making it to the top 25 in the Schwarzkopf Mrs SA competition.

Amanda Ioannoy (Alphen Park) and Simone Schroeter (Farrarmere) are currently among the top 100 who will be attending the Cansa Gala on April 29, at Emperors Palace.

The City Times caught up with these two semi-finalists to find out about their journey since their request for Benoni’s support, and there seems to be progress for both women.

At the gala, the top 25 will be chosen, so Ioannoy and Schroeter are trying to get as many votes as possible during this time.

“Votes and support are going well,” Schroeter said.

“I am very excited about the feedback I am getting.”

“It has been an amazing experience so far,” Ioannoy said.

“I am looking forward to the last leg of this empowering journey.

“One of SA’s top designers, Gavin Rajah, will be sponsoring my outfit for the evening.”

Mrs SA is a pageant for married, sophisticated and beautiful women.

It is considered a woman empowering programme, and not just a beauty pageant.
