Northmead accident injures 14
A total of 14 people were injured in an accident, in Northmead, today (April 11).
A light motor vehicle and a taxi collided on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Seventh Street, at about 11.25am.
Kelly Burchell, ER24 spokesperson, said two women in a Ford were injured.
The driver (who is in her 30s) and the passenger (who is in her 60s) were transported to the Netcare Linmed Hospital with serious injuries.
Burchell said all the passengers in the taxi, a total of 11 people, were transported to the Sunshine Hospital.
One of the passengers was in a serious condition.
The driver of the taxi was not hospitalised.
