The secret behind the feather
Author Olivia King (who wrote under a pseudonym) recently launched her latest book, “Feathers for a Lady”.
The event was held on March 31 at Café Bellini, in Western Extension.
Providing a peaceful, and tranquil setting, the author gave guests some insight into what the book is about.
King describes the book as an unexpected love affair between two people.
The protagonist in the book, Just Alan, is a cross-dresser, who has an affair with a corset maker.
Despite his adoration for women, he is also jealous of the natural beauty that women possess.
The book takes you on a journey of his life as a cross-dresser and the challenges he faces.
As a continuation of the book, King has written a sequel called “A feather from Clyk”.
King said many questions left in the first book are answered in the sequel, which will be published by the end of May.
Copies of Feathers for a Lady will be available at Exclusive Books, East Point Shopping Centre and all PNA stores next month.
