Several Benonians showed off their talent at auditions for a local X-factor, held at Connexions Church, in Farrarmere, recently.
Leatitia Hattingh gives a vocal performance, while Jason Nezar handles the keyboard.
“It’s supposed to reach out to the community, to raise awareness of the church out there,” said Carolise Jacobs, organiser of the event.
“We also want to show how people can have a different kind of fun in church.”
Jacobs said Luluma Stone (crew on SA’s Got Talent), Kevin Theron (Benoni actor) and Warren Husband (lighting and sound technician at Connexions Church) will be the judges for the evening, deciding who walks away victorious.
Auditions are closed and the final will run on April 29.
The event will be held in Connexions Church, at 12 Chaucer Road.
