The accident occurred at around 2pm on Sunday, April 3.
It took place near the corner of Birch and Gum roads, in Benoni Agricultural Holdings.
Jesse Petzer, an Emer-G-Med paramedic who was at the scene, said: “According to bystanders, one of the car’s front tyres burst, after which the vehicle rolled and landed in a ditch.”
Petzer, who was authorised by Emer-G-Med to report on the incident, said the driver and only occupant was sitting outside the car when emergency services arrived.
“The car had been seriously damaged; the windscreen was out,” he added.
Petzer arrived at the scene with Community Monitoring Services (CMS), and said the man was transported to Life the Glynnwood Hospital by other emergency services.
