‘Zuma failed to uphold constitution’, must pay back the money

The DA have moved to impeach President Zuma following the Constitutional Court’s ruling against him.

The Constitutional Court ruled against President Jacob Zuma in the Nkandla matter on Thursday (March 31), concluding that he breached the constitution by failing to heed Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s report on improvements to his private home, and should reimburse the state an amount to be determined by National Treasury.

Moments after the Chief Justice’s damning judgement against President Jacob Zuma, the DA and their leader Mmusi Maimane moved to impeach the president in terms of section 89 (1) of the constitution.
