EMM call centre still offline

Although the metro call centre line has been offline since Thursday March 24, residents are encouraged to utilise alternative channels to contact the municipality.

“The call centre line experienced technical difficulties late Thursday night,” said Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) spokesperson, Themba Gadebe.

“This resulted in the total loss of connectivity.

“Customers wishing to log services complaints are therefore unable to reach the municipality through this channel.”

Gadebe said technicians are resolving the problem.

“The EMM wishes to reassure residents that we are working around the clock to reconnect the call centre line,” he said.

While technicians work at resolving the problem, residents may utilise the following alternative channels to contact the call centre.

The Emergency Services Call Centre lines which are 011 458 0911, 10177 and 112 (from a cell phone) are still fully operational.
