UPDATE: ‘He drove past me and waved at me’ – wife of missing officer
Springs Advertiser: WO Jacques Botha (44) left his home in Springs yesterday (March 1) to go to work but never arrived at work at the Benoni Police Station.
According to his wife Trudie Botha, she knew something was wrong as Botha hasn’t been himself for the past two weeks.
On Tuesday morning, she saw him in the garden and went outside and to see what he was doing.
She says she noticed that he was cutting electrical cord which he told her was “to make an extension for his office”.
He greeted his family at 7.40am and left the house.
Trudie says she dropped her daughter at work and was on her way to Nigel when he passed her.
