Detective WO Jacques Botha (45) was last seen by his family when he left his Springs home to go to work, in the morning.
According to Benoni SAPS spokesperson Lieut Nomsa Sekele, Botha never arrived at the Benoni Police Station, where he is stationed.
“He was off sick for a long time and was expected back at work yesterday, but hasn’t been seen yet,” Sekele said.
At the time of publication, Sekele said the family would not be available for comment yet.
She added that police are investigating the matter.
