Pensioners treated on Valentine’s weekend

Pupils from Willowmoore High School’s Interact Club treated the elderly residents of Eddy House to cake and tea, recently.

The youngsters were at the Western Extension home on Saturday, February 13, where they also sang a few songs as entertainment.

Sheryl Naidoo (club coordinator) said one of the reasons for the visit was for the Interact members to absorb some of the wisdom of the more experienced elders.

She added that the treat was meant to thank the pensioners, in a small way, for their service to society.

The previous day, February 12, members of the Benoni Junior School Choir were at Eddy House with the same purpose, spoiling the residents with some tea and sweet refreshments.

The choristers topped off their visit with a vocal performance.
