Statement is private

One of the documents required is a three-month bank statement.

I don’t know if I am the only one, but I feel that my bank details are private and have nothing to do with anyone else – certainly not to one of the service provider’s sales people who started studying my bank details line by line in front of me.

Is there no other way of ascertaining if the applicant can afford a chosen contract?

A friend of mine, living in a country town, had his bank manager draw up a letter stating that my friend could well afford the costs of the chosen cellphone contract.

This letter was accepted by the cellphone people.

What a nice way of doing business!

Maybe there are readers out there who feel the same and have other solutions?

Let us hear from them.
