Dog poisonings need to be reported
Crystal Park SAPS are warning residents to be alert and watch out for incidents of dog poisoning, as criminals use this as a mean to gain access to properties.
This comes after four dogs were poisoned at a property on Hazel Road, Benoni Agricultural Holdings, on February 17.
Three of the canines died while a fourth was taken to a veterinarian.
According to Crystal Park SAPS acting communications officer Tryna Maritz, the incident was not reported to police at the time of publishing.
“We urge people to report dog poisonings to the SAPS, so police can conduct additional patrols in the affected areas,” said Maritz.
