Extending a helping hand

Sinomsebenzi hosted a patrons breakfast at Cherrylane Gourmet Café, on February 5.

A total of 60 guests were in attendance at the breakfast.

With Walter Pike as the speaker, guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast, while networking with members of other organisations.

The purpose of the breakfast was to encourage businesses to invest in Sinomsebenzi and the non-governmental organisations that are under the organisation’s umbrella.

“We are trying to encourage investors to do socio-economic development through us, which will give them the opportunity to become Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) contributors and to earn their BEE points,” said Natasha Zaayman, training co-ordinator at Sinomsebenzi.

“This will benefit the investors and the organisations under Sinomsebenzi.”

According to Zaayman, the proceeds will be distributed to organisations such as The White House Healing Centre, iThemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre, John Wesley Community Centre, Operation Anti-Freeze, Project Feed the Children and Legae Community Childcare Centre.
