A market for local producers

The first Real Food for Real People market was held at Lakeside Mall's boat deck on Saturday, January 30.

The mall has partnered with Real Food for Real People to create greater access to good quality food for the local community.

Local farmers are invited to sell their products or fresh produce at the monthly market.

The aim is to give farmers an opportunity to market their produce and provide the public with the opportunity to buy fresh food at a reasonable price.

On January 30, seven traders were present and sold things such as vegetables, cheese, chilli plants and more.

Stall owners interested in selling items will not be charged a fee until July.
