Sterling work from two schools

Two more Benoni schools performed well in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) matric examinations.

Here are their results:

  •  Ashbury Private School

2015 pass rate: 100 per cent

2014 pass rate: Not available at the time of going to print

Matric pupils: 21

Distinctions: none

University exemption: 95 per cent

Principal Cecil Behren’s comments: “I am very happy with the results, they are much better then previous years.”

  •  Kathstan College

2015 pass rate: 100 per cent

2014 pass rate: 100 per cent

Matric pupils: 22

Distinctions: none

University exemption: six

Headmistress Cathy Boyes comments: “Congratulations to all the pupils for the good work and maintaining our 100 per cent pass rate. At the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) awards ceremony we were awarded the longest standing pass rate of all schools.”
