Dancers show their worth

The dancers of Benoni, Kempton Park and Boksburg Dynamic Dance Studios brought back 25 trophies from the South African Freestyle and Disco Championships in Bloemfontein, recently.

Bending over backwards, Lerato Eayrs (15) shows her moves at the South African Freestyle and Disco Championships.

Members from the Benoni studio: Werner Humpel, Lerato Eayrs (15) and Elmoré Engelbrecht (14) placed first in various sections over the weekend.

Eayrs also represented Gauteng in an inter-provincial team match at the SA Freestyle Championships, in which Gauteng placed first.

All dancers from Dynamic Dance Studios were placed in the top five.

The other dancer from Benoni was Sanchia Lamprecht (9).

Humpel, Eayrs, Engelbrecht and Lamprecht will represent South African in this year’s International Dance Organisation (IDO) Disco World Dance Championships, in Sweden.
