You are invited to the 18th edition of the spectacular display, which is the prime fund-raiser for the Rotary Anns of the Rotary Club of Benoni van Ryn.
Six gardens will be on display on January 30 and 31.
“Our garden owners have weathered some storms in past years with gardens devastated by hail or torrential rains; however, this year is different,” said Judy Bath, convener of the Beautiful Gardens of Benoni.
“The severe drought has brought its own challenges and “grey water” is the order of the day as the garden owners make every effort to maintain the beauty of their gardens.”
Over the years, nearly 130 Benoni residents have opened their gardens to the public, much to the appreciation of the Anns.
Approximately R30 000 to R40 000 is usually raised annually.
This money has found its way to needy people within the greater Benoni area.
There is plenty of food, activities and prizes on offer at the Tea Garden.
Tickets are on sale for R30.
