Pastor robbed at Christian Training Centre
A pastor was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money at the Christian Teaching Centre, in Actonville, this afternoon.
The incident occurred at 2pm at the corner of Lancaster and Degenham roads.
According to Benoni SAPS spokesperson, Lieut Nomsa Sekele, the pastor had just returned from withdrawing money in Brakpan.
“He then went back to the teaching centre when the guard opened the gate for him to park the car inside the centre,” said Sekele.
“When he parked the car, a vehicle approached him and three men climbed out of it.
“One of the suspects pointed a gun at him and ordered him not to make noise.”
The suspects opened the boot of the pastor’s car and took an undisclosed amount of cash, a cellphone, car keys and church keys.
A case of armed robbery was opened at the Benoni Police Station.
