A centre that heals
Located on the corner of Cranbourne Avenue and Kimbolton Street, the White House Healing Centre is a place where the community can seek help.
The Christian-based centre offers spiritual, physical and financial healing to anyone in need; aiming to provide a helping hand to the homeless and encouraging people to empower themselves.
It offers a variety of courses that are targeted at future business owners and teaches them how to improve their business to expand.
Skills development is another of the vital aspects on which the centre focuses when grooming students in these courses.
These are some of the courses offered:
- Paradigm Shift
This a mentorship programme, which educates street vendors on how to run and grow their business.
- Work For a Living
A course aimed at taking the unemployed through a process of finding employment.
Once students have successfully completed their selected courses, the centre then communicates with local businesses to help them to find employment within their community.
Other courses that are offered at the centre are:
- Waitering
- Cashier services
- Merchandising
- Office management
- Mentorship programmes for upcoming entrepreneurs
White House Healing Centre feeds the homeless on Saturdays and has free visits from a doctor on Wednesdays.
