The SPCA takes in more stray and abandoned animals over the festive season and needs more funds to house them.
Donations will go towards caring for the animals.
The fund has risen to R2 520 and Benonians have until the end of December to make a donation.
Donations were made by the following community members this week:
- Neethling family R500
- Francis Mareé R200
- Linda McGarth R200
- Chip and Dale R200
- Mr Hurst R100
- Maria Ludick R50
Food and blankets can also be donated.
Each donation will be acknowledged in the Benoni City Times and on the Benoni SPCA Christmas tree.
