Linda le Roux, who stays on the road, is welcoming community members to the market, which she hopes to have open to the public seven days a week, during the day and night.
She said she wants to give people an opportunity to generate an income in a safe environment.
“I want to help people to sell things because it is dangerous to stand on the side of the road,” said Le Roux.
All stall owners will be allowed to sell goods at no charge, except those who are reliant on electricity.
The market will run until Christmas.
Le Roux is looking for interested people to come forward in order to launch the market.
