Another year of charity success

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco’s parents, Mike and Lynette Wittstock, showed great support and enthusiasm for their daughter’s love and passion for sport and charity, at the annual Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile, at Turffontein Racecourse, on Saturday, October 31.

The couple stood in on behalf of their daughter and represented The Princess Charlene Foundation for the two maiden plate races at the Charity Mile, for which she generously sponsored the prize money and charity donations.

The two winners of her races are Tahini, with Raymond Danielson as the jockey, and New Predator, with Weichong Marwing as the jockey.

The Emperors Palace Charity Mile was won by Bouclette Top (ARG), with Gavin Lerena as the jockey. They were partnered with Jonathan Boynton-Lee as the celebrity and Thembakazi Primary as his charity.

The school will receive a donation of R150 000.

The Benoni City Times was a media partner in the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile, with Deputy Jud running in R50 000 for the Tembisa-based Welamlambo Primary After Care Centre.
