Two killed in hostel brawl
Two men were killed on Saturday (October 24), between 10pm and 10.30pm, at the Daveyton Hostel.
According to Lieut Nomsa Sekele, Benoni SAPS cluster spokesperson, the Daveyton police received a complaint about people fighting at the hostel.
Upon arrival, police found four people who had been stabbed and hit with a panga.
One of the victims was taken to the Daveyton Clinic, where he died.
The other three victims were taken to the Far East Rand Hospital, where another victim died.
Police are currently investigating a case of murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
The victims who died are Mlamuli Ntombela (38) and Nkosiknona Sibiya (who is in his early 30s).
The other two victims have been discharged from hospital.
No arrests have been made.
