Water and sewage pipes are in the process of being installed at all the units.
This step has to be completed before the title deeds are issued, to ensure each resident can be held accountable for their utility consumption.
Installation of these pipes will be completed by the end of November.
This process comes after residents made claims that Ekurhuleni Metro Municipality (EMM) promised them title deeds in 2012.
”This is the final step towards the residents getting their title deeds,” said Ward 28’s Clr Mary Goby
A resident at Farrarmere Gardens, who did not want to be named, said MMC Aubrey Nxumalo has been a great help.
“He has showed us that we have a caring government that takes our concerns seriously,” said the resident.
