Benoni SAPS cluster spokesperson, WO Maqabe Ramothakhi, said the robbers, who were allegedly armed, arrived at the victim’s house and demanded the male victim’s firearm, at 6.00am.
When the victim told them he didn’t have one, the robbers took him inside the house where he and his wife were told to lay on the floor.
Maqabe said While the victims were on the floor, the robber spotted the male male victim’s firearm, while the other robber searched the home.
The perpetrators fled the scene with the victim’s firearm and red VW Polo Vivo.
No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
A house robbery charge has been opened.
