Butchery owner robbed

A man was robbed of his firearm at Amans Butchery on Mayet Drive, Actonville, on September 28.

Actonville SAPS spokesperson WO Ramothakhi Maqabe said it is alleged that the victim, who is the owner of the butchery, was at the business when two men entered the store pretending to be customers.

The incident happened at 10.30am.

“One man approached him and pointed a firearm at him,” said Maqabe.

“The man searched him and took the victim’s private firearm.”

A case of armed robbery was opened at the Actonville Police Station.

No arrests have been made.
