Party and have fun for cancer

Painting The Town Pink (PTTP) will host a series of events to raise funds for The Pink Drive.

PTTP is a group of events which are hosted every year during October, which is Cancer Awareness Month.

The aim is to bring relief to people who are otherwise unable to have clinical examinations or mammograms by educating, providing financial aid and counselling them to deal with the reality of breast cancer.

Each year a beneficiary is chosen to benefit from the funds raised during the events.

This year’s beneficiary is The Pink Drive, which offers a service by bringing their mobile mammography unit to an area to conduct breast cancer examinations.

The series of events is aimed at both young and old.

On September 5, a “Get Pinked” event will be hosted at Movida, in Johannesburg.

This aim is to party for a cause, and all the money raised will be used to fund the grand gala event, with intention to raise R20 000.

The dress code is all white, with people being encouraged to “Get Pinked” by purchasing pink items on the day.

The second PTTP event will be the formal gal dinner, to be held at Room Five, in Rivonia, on October 24.

The gala dinner will start at 7pm for 7.30pm and tickets will sold be pre-sold.

A ticket will include a gift, dinner and an evening of entertainment.

Cancer survivors will be honoured and guest will be educated on breast cancer awareness.
