Study on autism spectrum disorder and homeopathy

Caitlin Leigh Goodwin writes by email:

I am a sixth year homeopathy student at the University of Johannesburg and am currently doing my master’s research on the effect of individualised homeopathic treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children aged three to six years.

This is a non-profit research study.

I am currently looking for participants with ASD (three-six years) to take part in this study.

I would like to reach as many people as possible with the news of my study, so as to further our understanding of the role that homeopathy may play in managing ASD.

The study takes place over 12 weeks and consists of four consultations every four weeks at the University of Johannesburg’s Doornfontein Health Centre.

Each consultation will consist of a medical history taking, two scales which measure ASD severity and a physical exam.

After each consultation, each participant will receive a homeopathic remedy (non-toxic) prescribed according to their individual symptoms and characteristics. Participation in the study is free of charge, voluntary and confidential.

It would be appreciated if you could print the above letter in your newspaper.

Your help in spreading the news of the study would be of great benefit to the body of knowledge of the treatment/management of ASD.
