Gardener evades sticky mess as egg is tossed towards him

A gardener is not upset with the "young boy" who threw an egg in his direction while he was mowing the lawn at a property on Miles Sharp Street this afternoon (August 19).

Zola Cingo said he was going about his work when the driver of a red Suzuki or Renault vehicle pulled up next to him, in Rynfield.

He said the motorist threw one egg in his direction, but missed as the egg flew into a nearby tree.

Cingo told the City Times the motorist, who was alone in the car, also threw an egg at another pedestrian.

He is not sure whether the egg made contact with the individual.

The motorist drove in the direction of the C R Swart Dam after the incident.

Cingo said he is not fazed by the incident.

“I do not feel anything because he is just a little boy,” he explained.

“I am not cross because I know young boys are always naughty.”

Cingo’s employer, Michele Wittstock, said she is disgusted by the ordeal.

“I just think it is so degrading,” she said.
