According to Santi Steinmann, Netcare 911 spokesperson, when Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene they found that two vehicles were involved in a side-impact crash.
“Upon assessment of the occupants of the vehicles, paramedics found that a man travelling in one of the vehicles had sustained serious injuries,” said Steinmann.
A woman travelling in one of the vehicles sustained minor to moderate injuries.
Both injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The details surrounding the cause of the accident are unclear and will be investigated by police.
