Venter addressed members at the Benoni SAPS cluster office, in Northmead, on July 29 and wished them well for the future.
Venter took early retirement from the police and will retire as the provincial head for Gauteng Police Emergency Services, after serving 39 years in the South African Police Service.
She was the commander of the Benoni Police Station from 1999 until 2010.
She served as cluster commander in Benoni until 2012, after which she moved to her current post.
Acting Benoni SAPS cluster commander Brig Poobalan Subbiah said he will always hold Venter in high esteem for the work she did in the service.
