Two motorcyclists die in separate accidents
A motorcyclist died on the corner of Wattle and Birch roads, in the Benoni Agricultural Holdings this afternoon (July 19).
ER24 JHB East spokesperson Glen Orritt said paramedics arrived on scene at around 5pm where a VW golf and motorcycle crashed.
Orritt said the male motorbike rider was declared dead on scene.
The female driver of the VW, who is 70 years old, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care.
The accident will be investigated.
Meanwhile, earlier today, at around 2.30pm, a motorbike rider died on Pomona Road, between High Road and the R21 highway.
It is unclear whether another vehicle was involved in the accident.
