Ndebele has been serving suspension since August 14, after being arrested on fraud charges.
The charges against her were dropped.
National police spokesperson Lieut-Gen Solomon Makgale told the City Times at the time: “It is alleged that, while recruiting entry level candidates for the Moroka policing area, the officer, in conflict with procedure, changed the recommended list of recruits to include three candidates who had not met the SAPS criteria.”
Provincial SAPS spokesperson Lieut Col Lungelo Dlamini said a decision with regard to Ndebele’s suspension is still pending.
“Management will take a decision as to where she may be posted after all the internal processes relating to her suspension have been finalised,” he told the City Times.
Dlamini would not say whether Ndebele is still receiving her full salary.
