Woman hijacked in driveway

A woman was hijacked on July 7, at 7.30pm, in her driveway in Daveyton, Extension Two.

EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago said the women was confronted by two men at gun point.

“The suspects drove off with the Audi A1, which was found abandoned after an hour in Ivory Park,” said Kgasago.

“Seemingly, the hijackers felt the heat and grew cold feet as they sensed that the law enforcers were closing in on them.”

No arrests have been made and police are investigating.

A case of hijacking has been opened at the Daveyton Police Station.
