Attempted murder case opened

According to Const Zunickha Essakjee from the Benoni Police Station, the victim was driving home when she noticed a black Renault Scenic with two men in it was following her.

“She stopped in front of her gate and waited for it to open when the two men jumped out of their vehicle and headed towards her car.

“One of the suspects knocked on her window with a gun. The women ducked and the suspect fired  a shot at her,” said Essakjee.

She added that after the shot was fired, the victim looked up and noticed that her gate was open. She then drove into her property, closed the gate and called the police.
