R1 000 reward for missing cat

A Northmead resident is "very, very heartbroken" as he continues to search for his missing four-year-old cat, Icey.

Lindsay McGuinness is offering a R1 000 reward to anyone who finds the female cat.

Icey went missing from her 10th Avenue home on June 6.

She is predominantly grey, white and black in colour.

Her paws are mostly white and she also has some ginger in her face and on one of her back legs.

“She was involved in an accident as a kitten and as a result has a badly damaged bottom jaw and missing a piece of her tongue,” said McGuinness.

“She is unable to groom herself properly because of the injuries and may look tatty or like a stray.”

She was also wearing a blue flea collar at the time of her disappearance.

“Icey is an extremity social cat and will likely approach most people,” said McGuinness.

The cat owner said he has visited the Benoni SPCA every day after the feline’s disappearance.

He said he will immigrate to England at the end of the year and was planning on taking Icey abroad.

If you have seen Icey, contact McGuinness on 082 771 3155.
