CPF election postponed

The election of the CPF Sector Two executive has been postponed.

This is due to a lack of balanced representation from all the areas within the sector, as well as the procurement by some members, of proxy votes from outside the sector.

The new date for the elections is June 18.

The election process will take place at Belvedere School, starting at 7pm.

Sector Two includes the areas of Northmead, Airfield, Farrarmere, Goedeburg and Alphen Park.

All members of the public who live, work or own property in this sector are urged to come forward and nominate and vote for viable candidates.

The following positions will be open to vote for in this sector:

  •  Chairperson
  •  Deputy chairperson
  •  Secretary
  •  Deputy secretary

Proof of identification is a pre-requisite to vote in the election; you may also not have a criminal record and have to work or live in the area in which you are voting.

No proxy votes will be allowed in the election process.

For more information contact the acting station commander, Col Martin van Nieuwenhuizen (082 822 8078).
