Accidents leave three injured

Two accidents happened in Benoni this morning (June 10).

On Pretoria Road, Petit, a motor vehicle rolled after hitting a ditch, shortly after 7am.

The driver, a 43-year-old woman, said that a taxi had pushed her off the road, causing the accident.

“She sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by ER24,” said Glen Orritt, ER24 JHB East spokesperson.

Officials are still investigating the matter.

The second accident involved a truck on the N12 West, just after the Tom Jones exit, just before 10am.

The truck flipped on its side after the driver, a 48-year-old man, lost control.

The driver sustained only minor injuries, while the passenger (45) had moderate injuries.

She was stabilised on scene by ER24 and then transported to Sunshine Hospital, in Actonville.
