Three injured in N12 accidents

Three people were injured in two separate accidents, which occurred on Saturday (May 23).

Between 4pm and 5pm, a motorcyclist swerved into a ditch on the N12, near Snake Road.

“The motorcyclist said he was forced off the road by another vehicle,” said Glen Orritt, ER24 JHB East spokesperson.

“He hit the ditch and broke his wrist during the accident.”

The motorcyclist was taken to Tambo Memorial Hospital, in Boksburg.

Around the same time, a car with a man and a woman rolled on the N12, before the Daveyton exit.

“The driver lost control over the vehicle and hit the embankment, after which the car flipped,” said Orritt.

Orritt said both the driver and the passenger sustained minor injuries and ER24 transported them to a nearby hospital.
