Car being towed ploughs through shop
One person was slightly injured when a bakkie which was being towed became dislodged and crashed through a shop
The incident occurred at an electronics outlet on Voortrekker Road, at around 6pm this evening (May 14).
ER24 JHB East spokesperson Glen Orritt said the bakkie was being towed by a Toyota Quantum.
The occupant of the bakkie was not injured in the ordeal.
Orritt said a vendor stationed outside the shop’s entrance jumped out of the way before the impact.
A male employee in the electronics shop was slightly injured by items which were flung around as the vehicle crashed through the door.
The employee was not hospitalised.
