Tobie’s alleged attacker fails to appear in court

A warrant of arrest has been issued for the man accused of beating a dog with a golf club, after he failed to appear in the Daveyton Magistrate's Court today (April 30).

The 39-year-old suspect was summonsed to make his second appearance in court today.

He is accused of beating his neighbours dog, Tobie, a four-year-old Jack Russell, in Daveyton, on March 2.

Tobie was adopted shortly after the beating, in which he lost his right eye ball, by Northmead resident Tania Forrest-Smith.
