Help care for victims of xenophobia

Donations of dry food and toiletries are welcome at the Benoni branch of the SA Red Cross Society.

The goods will be donated to victims of xenophobic attacks.

Margeret Pappas, manager of the Benoni branch of the SA Red Cross Society, said that on Sunday, they fed 700 mouths in Primrose, Germiston.

The area has been affected by xenophobic attacks and people have been displaced from their homes as a result.

Pappas said there are plans to continue feeding people in Primrose, as well as any other areas where xenophobia has affected members of the public.

Donations may be dropped off at the Benoni branch of the Red Cross, at 7 0’Reilly Merry Street, Rynfield.

For more information, contact Pappas on 079 516 6790 or 011 849 2723.
