The suspected perpetrator has since been arrested and is currently being detained at the Benoni Police Station.
Although details are unclear at this stage, Benoni SAPS media liaison officer Lieut Nomsa Sekele said the woman was raped at an unknown location.
Sekele said the female victim and the perpetrator met yesterday where the man promised the woman employment.
The man allegedly raped her at the same location today, after which she fled.
“The victim drove with the suspect’ s car till she got to the Bunny Park, and that is where she called the police,” said Sekele.
While the woman fled, the suspect called the police and said the victim had stolen his car.
Police linked the reported vehicle theft case and the woman’s reported case case and arrested the man.
