CPF to hold general elections

You will have an opportunity to vote for the Benoni Community Policing Forum (CPF) committee that represents your suburb, in the CPF general elections.

People who would like to stand as chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, deputy secretary and public relations officer, in their respective sectors, may do so on the night the committees are elected.

You may nominate yourself or someone else and the elections will be overseen by the SAPS.

Here are the dates on which elections will take place in the various suburbs:

Sector one: Rynfield, Morehill, Brentwood Park, Benoni AH, Norton Home Estates, Benoni Small Farms.

Date: Tuesday, March 24.

Time: 6.30pm for 7pm.

Venue: The Manger Care Centre, 8 Lennox Road, Brentwood Park.

Sector two: Farrarmere, Goedeburg, Alphen Park, Arrow Park, Northmead, Airfield.

Date: Monday, March 23.

Time: 6.30pm for 7pm.

Venue: The Venue, Northmead Square, corner Dalrymple and Fourteenth Avenue, Northmead.

Sector three: Benoni CBD, Western Extension, Westdene, The Stewards, Lakefield, Lakefield Extension 21, Kilfenora, Benoni South Commerce and Industry, Van Dyk Road.

Date: Thursday, March 26.

Time: 6pm for 6.30pm.

Venue: Benoni West Primary School hall, 22 Railway Avenue, Western Extension.

Sector four: MacKenzie Park, Rynsoord, New Modder, Apex, Golden Drive.

Date: Tuesday, March 24.

Time: 6.30pm for 7pm.

Venue: Mary Moodley Place of Safety, Tsetsebe Street, MacKenzie Park.

Sector five: Kingsway, Lindelani, Modderbee.

Date: Tuesday, March 31.

Time: 6pm for 6.30pm.

Venue: Kingsway Secondary School, Kingsway.
