Woman arrested in Farrarmere Gardens for stolen goods

A 37-year-old woman was arrested in Farrarmere Gardens for possession of suspected stolen goods, on March 3.

Benoni SAPS communication officer Const Zunickha Essakjee said the suspect was arrested at her home, at around 11.30pm.

Essakjee said the arrest came after a man stumbled upon a two-plate stove belonging to him, at a Maalstroom Street property, in Farrarmere.

He enquired with the home owner where the item came from, and was told it was purchased off a woman from Farrarmere Gardens.

The owner of the goods informed CMS, who alerted police.

Essakjee said the man identified more items belonging to him at the woman’s home; including a carpet, stove, tyres and chairs.

Police were unable to say where the complainant, whose goods were found, lives, or when they were taken from him.

The suspect will be charged with a case of possession of suspected stolen goods.
