Seven injured in N12 accident

The cause of the collision is unknown

Seven people were injured this morning (March 5), during a two-vehicle collision on the N12, near the Putfontein off-ramp.

“On arrival, ER24 paramedics from the Johannesburg East branch found a bakkie which had overturned, lying on its side in the fast lane,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

“A taxi, which had also been involved in the collision, sat in the fast lane.”

On inspection, paramedics found that seven people had sustained minor injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and transported them to the Sunshine Hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known.

Local authorities were on scene to investigate.
