Child Welfare says thanks

Message from Elsie Labuschagne, Greater Benoni Child Welfare director:

When I look back at 2014, one thing that stands out is that it was a year filled with new beginnings.

New directors, board and social workers.

Throughout all the changes the community held firm and supported us through donations.

We served nearly 2 800 children, who formed part of 2 400 families a month in Benoni, Daveyton and Etwatwa, with seven social workers and auxiliary workers.

Thank you to our dedicated and professional staff.

A total of 30 children rotated through our Child and Youth Care Centre, Colin House.

We had numerous Christmas parties for Colin House that made the Christmas season very special for the children.

Thank you to all the sponsors.

We invite the community to continue supporting us and to join us in celebrating Mandela Day, on July 18, and to support the golf day in September.

Remember to bring all your redundant household appliances and clothes, as we either distribute these to our clients in need or we sell them in our charity shop.

Our current urgent needs are sponsorships for fuel, consumables and wellness programmes for our social workers.

We also need groceries and paint for Colin House.

The Greater Benoni Child Welfare is there to serve the community as best we can.

We would like to thank the following sponsors for donating presents, parties and stationery:
